A New Shift awarded at FIPADOC

Jindřich Andrš's festival hit A New Shift got Grand Prize – Impact at FIPADOC which ensures the film French theatrical distribution. Jindřich Andrš also received the BEST DIRECTOR Award at DOKer, while another East Silver title Her Mothers got two awards.

A New Shift
, which was developed in our workshop Ex Oriente Film, got handful of awards at DOK Leipzig and Ji.hlava, including Silver Eye Award. The film became part of East Silver Caravan which helps with the festival distribution. In the Czech Republic the film is distributed by Artcam. Grand Prize – Impact at FIPADOC is another huge success for the film and with the award comes the benefit of French theatrical distribution of A New Shift.



In the last weeks the film was also screened at One World IHRDFF in Prague and DOKer Moscow Film Festival along with another East Silver title, Her Mothers by Asia Dér & Sári Haragonics. Both films were awarded at DOKer. Jindřich Andrš received the BEST DIRECTOR Award and Asia Dér & Sári Haragonics got the BEST FEATURE FILM and the  BEST EDITING. awards. A New Shift was also screened at ZagrebDox in Croatia, Crossing Europe Linz, Millenium Film Festival Brussels, Ecofalante Environmental Film Festival in Brasil and Al Este Film Festival in Peru.

Another successful East Silver Caravan title is The Good Death by Tomáš Krupa. The film is on a festival circuit for a long time and still resonates. In the last weeks it was screened at LASA Internation Film Festival, Chesnok Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, Summer Film Festival in Baghdad and FICC in Equador among other festivals.



Ondřej Vavrečka's experimental documentary A Personal Life of a Hole was screened at DOK.fest München, while Dmitry Bogolubov's Town of Glory and Son of the Streets by Mohammed Almughanni were presented at Docfest Liberation Bangdalesh.

Telenovela: Grey Scale in Color by Filip Martinovic had a World Premiere at Malaga Film Festival. Molodist Kyiv offered physical screenings and included in the programme Salt from Bonneville by Simon Mozgovyi and Tales of a Toy Horse (dir. Ulyana Osovska & Denys Strashnyy). Both films were previously screened at Docudays UA (online).

Two of the short films in the East Silver Caravan catalogue, Pripyat Piano by Eliška Cílková and Boundaries by Julia Shatun, were screened at FeciBogotá in Colombia. Boundaries got Best Belarusian Film Award at the Short Movie Club Film Festival.
