Facebook event
Are you planning to create an impact campaign for your new documentary project? Would you like your film to be seen by thousands of people all over the world? Do you want to know how you can involve broadcasters and local initiatives in your impact campaign? If the answer is yes, this IDF Industry Session is for you!
We will learn from Mette Hoffmann Meyer, the CEO of THE WHY Foundation, what it means to distribute a documentary film globally. What you have to think of in terms of the global audiences, their possibilities to see your film and understand it. We will also hear from Julianna Ugrin, a very experienced producer from Hungary whose documentary film A Woman Captured is part of Why Slavery? collection. The discussion will be moderated by Barbora Hudečková (programmer of One World IHRDFF).
THE WHY Foundation has vast experience with distribution and production of human-rights centered documentary films. Their goal is to ensure that all people have free access to fact-based, independent media and they try to reach audiences that are illiterate and have no access to the internet. What chances do films from Central and Eastern Europe have to be included in THE WHY collections?
