Czech and Slovak projects at Ex Oriente Film 2021

The 2nd session of the Ex Oriente Film 2021 workshop has ended in Jihlava in October 2021 and the director-producer teams will meet again at the East Doc Platform 2022 (March 26 – April 1), where they will pitch their projects to the international audience of decision makers at the East Doc Forum. In the meantime, they will meet with experienced tutors during ZOOM meetings and webinars. Which Czech and Slovak projects are part of the Ex Oriente Film 2021?

Hunting the Invisible

The fact that we cannot see or even hear certain things does not mean they are not there. And there are lot that could be seen and heard, but they are us invisible, we don’t react to them. The documentary “Hunting the Invisible” takes the viewer on a journey of sharpened sensory perception, offering that as one of the ways to tackle today’s social and eco-logical crises.

As Long as I Live (orig. Pokiaľ ja žijem)
Dalibor was only a teenager when his drunk abusive father threw him out of his house. While being homeless, Dalibor became involved in petty crimes and prostitution before finding a shelter in a wandering circus, training to perform as a fakir. But his search for better life was suddenly abrupted when he was sentenced for a fight he got into when homeless. He’ll be released in a few months and will re-join the circus. Will he make it as a circus performer, elevating himself and his family from poverty or will he succumb to his old ways?
