Two collegial road workers paint road markings and when their shift is over, they drink beer in their boarding room and ponder the indifference of the city inhabitants. Danko, a queer music composer, lives in the city center with his mother in a modest flat. He takes long walks, listening to urban sounds, trying to capture the rhythm around him. Lines is a visual essay, a tangle of stories and observations, set in the exemplary post-socialist city of Bratislava; a place experiencing dynamic transformation.

Unique in its depth of focus, this reflection on child-rearing documents a year in the life of four-year-old Miško, where not a minute is wasted since there is no room for boredom and moments of rest are merely preparation for the next achievement.

WE HAVE TO SURVIVE: Fukushima!

Ten years ago in March 2011 , damaged by an earthquake and a tsunami, three reactors went into meltdown at the nuclear power station in Fukushima, Japan. Everyone within 20 kilometres of the plant was evacuated, but Naoto Matsumura chose to stay – the only person left out of 80 000. Now he still lives without any symptoms of radiation taking care about abandoned animlas in the area that is being by the Japan government systematically cleaned and prepared for the new life. But the question is how to deal with a world that is balancing on the verge of a climate catastrophe.
