Darkening is an autobiographical animated film that uses virtual reality to depict the authentic experiences of a young person with depression. It brings not only a deep insight into the "dark night of the soul", but also hope and a way to cope with the illness. The main character Ondřej accompanies the viewer on this journey.

A young anthropologist, Zdenka, moves with her family to Svalbard, Norway, to study how life is changing in polar regions. After falling in love with her new home, she discovers that more than icebergs and permafrost are vanishing in the Arctic. She has to work out to what extent she can get involved in the local community that she only originally intended to observe.

The Cars We Drove Into Capitalism

This humorous documentary takes us back to the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War, when the car was considered not only a small miracle and a key symbol of technological progress, but also a means of fighting the imperialist class enemy, while paradoxically representing an almost unattainable social status.

In Belarusian, “mara” means “dream,” but in the sense of “hope.” In Slavic mythology, the word denotes a female spirit that manifests in people's minds while they sleep and brings either dreams or nightmares. An artistic personification of the mythical being Mara roams through the streets of Minsk in 2020–2021 in the film of the same name.

Museum of the Revolution

Belgrade’s Museum of the Revolution was meant to become another Brutalist monument celebrating socialism in Yugoslavia. Its construction plan later failed and this desolate building from 1961 is now a refuge for homeless people. Among them is a young mother with her child and Mara, an aging woman.

Jola and Wiesiek, a couple of extraordinary entrepreneurs, run the biggest pawnshop in the south of Poland. Profitable in the past, today the business only generates loses. Financial troubles affect their relationship. The problems have several causes. Residents of the neighbourhood in which the pawnshop operates more and more often pawn worthless objects to make their ends meet. Wiesiek's irrational marketing initiatives and the good heart of Jola who financially supports poor clients are not conducive to improving the situation either.

Short Joy
WE HAVE TO SURVIVE: Fukushima!

Ten years ago, in March 2011, damaged by an earthquake and a tsunami, three reactors went into meltdown at the nuclear power station in Fukushima, Japan. Everyone within 20 kilometres of the plant was evacuated, but Naoto Matsumura chose to stay – out of 80,000 residents, the sole person remaining.
