The platform helps filmmakers in every stage and aspect of production, they can benefit from market, networking or pitching opportunities. What to expect?
The East Doc Platform is a home and a grand finale of the 3rd session of the renowned Ex Oriente Creative Laboratory. Its participants - with their 12 feature-length films and 5 series - join other creators at the East Doc Forum. The Forum is a foundational pitching opportunity for funding and co-production of projects in the development or early production stage.
Projects either in development, production, or post-production are welcome to join the East Doc Market which offers arranged networking and pitching meetings with filmmakers and key decision-makers. These experiences are cornerstones of the platform thanks to the direct access to industry leaders.
To support Czech filmmakers, we have developed the Czech Docs: Coming Soon programme where we highlight new, feature-length documentaries. These will be introduced to an audience of invited representatives of prestigious international festivals, sales agents, distributors and the public.
Selected projects are also eligible for the East Doc Platform Award. The jury awards the best project in production with the EDP Award and financial prizes to help with the further development of the documentary film.
