A Strong Eastern European Delegation Will Attend Nordisk Panorama

In cooperation with Nordisk Panorama, the Institute of Documentary Film is organizing Eastern European Delegation with strong Czech representation of producers heading to this traditional Scandinavian festival of short and documentary films in Swedish Malmö, with it's industry event the Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries taking place September 18 – 20. They will present their projects and look for possible coproductions with Scandinavian and other international producers and TV representatives. More than 60 decision-makers representing major Nordic broadcasters, film institutes and regional film funds as well as international decision-makers attend the forum. Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries is the main funding event for the Nordic documentary community.

Among the members of the East European Delegation, there are for example Czech independent producers Vratislav Šlajer a Tereza Zemanová (Bionaut), Martin Jůza (KRUTART), Dagmar Sedláčková (MasterFilm), Pavel Strnad (Negativ), producer and director Radovan Síbrt (PINK Productions), Marek Novák (Xova Film) and producer and director David Čálek. Hungary will be represented by Laszlo Jozsa from Speak Easy Project, Romania by Mihai Dragolea from Vagabond Film company. The Slovakian company PubRes will be represented by Zuzana Mistríková a Ľubica Orechovská.

Representing the broadcasters in the delegation will be Hanka Kastelicová from HBO Europe and Ivana Pauerová Miloševičová from Czech TV. The projects that have been shortlisted for the Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries 2016 are: The Russian Job (formerly Avtovaz)  produced by Martin Jůza (KRUTART Audiovisual Production) and The Tap Tap - Lust for Life by director and producer Radovan Síbrt (PINK Productions). All delegation members will participate in the Producers Meet Producers industry event, where they will meet their Scandinavian colleagues, get a chance to introduce their companies and region from the documentary producers’ point of view. The members of the delegation are granted participation at 50% discount by Nordisk Panorama.
