Following a successful partnership experience in 2014, EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) and IDF (Institute of Documentary Film) continued this productive cooperation by granting a scholarship to one Ex Oriente Film producer participant, enabling him to attend the renowned EAVE producer's workshop.

EAVE is one of the leading professional training, project development and networking organizations for audiovisual producers. The EAVE producer's workshop is aimed at producers with a documentary or fiction film project, who are already working in the film and television industry and wish to increase their knowledge of producing or co-producing in Europe.

The Ex Oriente Film programme was pleased to welcome EAVE documentary expert Sylvia Stevens (Faction Films) at the second workshop session in Jihlava, October 26- 31, 2015.

During her stay Sylvia Stevens had the opportunity to meet individually with seven producers that were eligible for the EAVE scholarship. After following the candidates work during the workshop session and the one on one meetings, the scholarship was awarded to producer Zoran Galić (Viz Art, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Zoran Galić is developing at Ex Oriente Film 2015 an observational documentary called The Land, directed by Marko Šipka. The awarded scholarship covers the producer’s participation fee for the EAVE producer's workshop in 2016. Besides the professional development it enables the Ex Oriente Film participant to build a wider professional European network.

In 2014 the EAVE scholarship was granted to Estonian producer Eero Talvistu (Exitfilm), who at Ex Oriente Film was developing a documentary project called Border Youth directed by Aleksandr Heifets and coproduced by inselfilm (Germany).
