Doc Tank introduces the tutors, experts in transmedia

Doc Tank will introduce seven transmedia projects or projects with social engagement campaign strategy that can be presented on various media platforms. This year, following projects were selected: 4GenWomen (RO, ES, TR, 2018), The Ancient Woods (LT, 2018), Pre-Crime - A Predictive Policing Simulator (DE, 2017) Teslafy.Me (SI, USA, DE, 2017) Constructing Putin (CZ, NL, 2018). In addition, authors of 3. Bridge / This Tree Is No Longer There (TR, 2017) and  Girl Missing (CZ, 2017) will participate to the program as observers.

Filmmakers of projects selected for Doc Tank will attend an intensive three day workshop with tutors based on specific needs of each project. The experts offers consultation and guidance on new media, web design, artistic projects, crowdfunding or distribution to help projects with the development and designing the strategy.

Workshop participants can look forward to world-renowned experts: Bruno Choiniere (Akufen), Sandra Gaudenzi (Westminster School of Media, Arts and Design), William Uricchio (MIT Open Documentary Lab), John MacFarlane (American Documentary | POV Digital), Arnau Gifreu Castells (professor at ERAM (University of Girona) and research affiliate at the Open Documentary Lab (MIT), Susanna Lotz (IDW), Adam Široký (XLAB), Jindřich Trapl (XLAB), Arjanne Laan (Willem de Kooning Academy), Christian Popp (YUZU Productions). The lectures and presentations are open to public for free.

Within the Project Market, the Doc Tank participants are scheduled for one day of individual meetings with the international professionals, producers, programmers, representatives of funds, festivals or media. All of these projects are also eligible for several East Doc Platform awards.

Doc Tank will be held within the East Doc Platform (EDP) which is organized by the Institute of Documentary Film in association with the One World IHRDFF and takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, March 6 to 12, 2017.
