KineDok brings The Nagano Tapes to Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště

KineDok brings a unique site-specific screening of Ondřej Hudeček's acclaimed documentary The Nagano Tapes to Letecké muzeum in Kunovice on August 3rd. The screening is part of Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště. The documentary tells an inspiring story of how Czech Republic won gold at the first Olympics to feature professionals from the NHL. Letecké muzeum (Aviation museum) will be open from 5 pm and until 8 pm visitors will have a chance to look at the famous plane Tupolev Tu-154, nicknamed "Nagano Express", which was used to fly gold medal Czech ice hockey team in 1998 from Nagano to Prague. The screening starts at 8:30 pm with Jan Gogola's short documentary Pozemní let, followed by The Nagano Tapes. After the screening there will be a discussion with guests incl. the director Ondřej Hudeček. The film is in English with Czech subtitles. 

The inspiring story behind the Czech Republic’s historic gold medal victory at the Olympic Winter Games Nagano 1998 in men’s ice hockey is featured in The Nagano Tapes, from the Olympic Channel’s Five Rings Films. Award-winning director Ondřej Hudeček brings the documentary to life through interviews with some of the world’s best ice hockey players who relive their Nagano experience, and never-before-seen and historical archival footage on the twentieth anniversary of the “Tournament of the Century”.
