The Last Ice Hunters, Slovenian documentary capturing the vanishing world of the Inuit communities of Eastern Greenland, got two awards at Autrans International Mountain Film Festival.

East Silver Caravan title The Last Ice Hunters has gained recognition and received several awards in the last months. In November The Last Ice Hunters opened Brasília International Film Festival (BIFF) and at Mountainfilm Graz the director and DOP Rožle Bregar received Kamera Alpin in Gold Award in the category People & Cultures (see the jury statement here, photos are here).

In December The Last Ice Hunters got two awards, Nature and Environment Award and UshuaiaTV Jury Award, at the 35th edition of Autrans International Mountain Film Festival which took place December 5-9 in Vercors mountains near Grenoble.

The Last Ice Hunters is a visually stunning expedition to the polar circle. It captures the vanishing world of the Inuit communities of Eastern Greenland. With the political interventions, laws, seal hunting bans and global warming taking away the natural environment, the lives of traditional hunters becoming more and more difficult.
