Lost Bomber

Izgubljeni bombarder

Directing: Petar Orešković

Synopsis

Tulsamerican was not just any bomber, but the very last Liberator produced by the Douglas factory in Tulsa. People of Tulsa built, painted and named her, paid for the plane out of their war bonds wage packages and wrote their autographs on the hull. After the touching farewell to the workers, Tulsamerican flew half the world to help bring the desired peace, but fate had other plans. Shot down only four months after its deployment, Tulsamerican crashed into the Adriatic sea and remained lost for more than half a century. Many people have been looking for her ever since. Halfway across the globe, the seabed around Vis island has become a graveyard of lost WWII planes. In recent years, one by one, the planes have reemerged. It is a historical, emotional and adventurous story at the same time.
