Synopsis
Nazariy, a young Hutsul man from the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine, documents his life through a popular YouTube blog. Known for his enthusiasm and authenticity, he shares his adventures foraging mushrooms and observing local wildlife, quickly amassing a devoted following. However, the Russian invasion disrupts his quiet existence, bringing new challenges, including the absence of his friend Volodya, who temporarily relocates to Poland, and tensions in his relationship with his father. Despite the war, Nazariy chooses to continue forging his own path, focusing on tourism and creating unique products—though his father disapproves, viewing his online pursuits as unproductive.
As Nazariy gains fame, his bond with his father remains strained, reflecting the same patterns of workaholism that once isolated his father from him. The war serves as a catalyst for self-reflection, prompting Nazariy to question whether he is truly on the right path or merely repeating his father’s cycle of loneliness and ambition. Although his father attempts to reconnect, their relationship remains burdened by unresolved tensions, leaving Nazariy at a crossroads between success and genuine connection. The story suggests an uncertain future, exploring whether Nazariy can reconcile his newfound career with a life that fosters meaningful relationships—particularly with his father—over the coming years.
