The Longer You Bleed

This personal documentary follows displaced Ukrainians as they contend with the surreal experience of watching their homeland burn through Instagram in real time. Filmed over a year, the camera follows the director’s partner and her friends, who, though far from the war, remain deeply entangled in its emotional fallout, navigating their new reality of traumatic war imagery online. The film traces the arc of compassion fatigue as the normalization of war's horrors sets in. Through its mix of intimacy and abstraction, the film offers a sobering meditation on the emotional costs of living in a world oversaturated with information.
