Synopsis
In 1977, director Vít Olmer made the last interview with Jan Werich before his death for the Slovak Television. Having received the Prix Danube Award, the programme was immediately banned. Our film crew has gone to Bratislava to collect the film from an archive, travelling through the Czech Republic in a transit car with quotations of Jan Werich painted on it, discovering that his ideas are still relevant, known and needed; especially today. Thus the film is not only about our search for an old short film but primarily about a contemporary search for Jan Werich, his wisdom, philosophy and fun, which have remained in the minds of common people even in the hard times of today.
