Folk!

"Folk!" opens the door to the underground world of Ukrainian folk dancing in present day New York. Filmmaker Roxy Toporowych narrates this comedic whirlwind of Ukrainian-American culture and her obsession to folk dance! When a legendary choreographer begins organizing a gala performance in New York City, dancers across North America flock to be a part of it. When this teacher unexpectedly dies, it becomes everyone's responsibility to fulfill his/her concert dream. With tensions high and bodies out of shape, our narrator follows company dancers on an uphill battle of body and mind, as everyone pursues the passion to folk.
