Synopsis
This film is a part of "Gender Montage: paradigms from post-soviet space" documentary film collection, supported by Network Women`s Program of Open Society Institute and Institute for Social and Gender policy (ISGP). This report from a women`s prison tells about the economic hardship and political chaos which have led many Tadjik women to become out of a sheer necessity "live containers", smuggling heroin inside themselves. These women, who led ordinary lives yesterday, could not possibly be called criminals.
