Synopsis
Stanislaw Lem is the most famous sci-fi Polish writer worldwide, and yet his life is shrouded in enigma and full of paradoxes. How has he managed to survive the Holocaust? What was his true attitude towards communism, since he was writing propaganda pieces and participating in illegal opposition activity... all at the same time? How he managed to monitor the progress of international science and technology with such outstanding accuracy - while living on the outskirts of Krakow, behind the Iron Courtain, under oppressive regime that censored everything. This film is the first chance to see unique footage including private still pictures and home movies, shot on 8 mm camera by Stanislaw Lem himself and unpublished letters from Philip K. Dick.
