Hide Me In The Light

Eva is interviewing her friends at a Children's Hospital. There's the scrappy orphan Andriy, open-minded Klevan, and their leader Danya. ‘How long have you been staying here? ‘What are your dreams?’ Klevan says something incomprehensible. Eva asks him again. He says he dreams of getting a kidney.
The transplant coordinator notifies about a found donor. Very soon Andriy discovers that he is not compatible. After the surgery, Danya is discharged and Klevan is escorted home by the entire hospital staff. Andriy remains alone in his ward on Christmas.
Klevan’s kidney has failed.
A missile hit the hospital. Andriy is wounded. The tree planted in memory of Klevan has completely dried up, down to the last leaf. Andriy meets a family in Kyiv that plans to adopt him. He is undergoing surgery.
