Synopsis
A portrait of the residents of a village small in size but writ large in history… Grunwald. A famous place, the village is now pervaded by poverty, stagnation and apathy. The monotony of the inhabitants’ lives is broken once a year during the celebrations of the anniversary of one of the largest battles in Mediaeval Europe; the Battle of Grunwald. It’s a time when daily worries can be put aside and it provides a chance to earn a little money, while the promises of the visiting politicians and the interest of the media offer hope for the development of this historical place.
