Synopsis
The cemetery is the chronicle of the village. For more than 50 years, the craftsman Stan Ion Patras drew people for eternity, as they were in reality. He made obituaries without hard feelings. Using subtle and simple rhymes, in perfect symbiosis with naive painting, the artist made funny portraits of ones who past away. Some people consider his work to be kitsch, but others view Stan Ion Patras as a hero. Through hard work, he had the courage to transcend his social status and transform a place forgotten by the civilized world, into a place of attraction.
