Synopsis
People in Need has been helping in Ukraine since 2014. Its activity in the given territory increased significantly after the beginning of the full invasion of the Russian occupiers in February 2022. In the first year of the war alone, aid in Ukraine exceeded two billion Czech crowns. It continues and focuses not only on humanitarian aid, but also on house repairs, financial support, shelter repairs, education in a war environment and increasing the protection of the population. It supports advocacy activities aimed at protecting the rights of people affected by the conflict. It promotes effective and long-term solutions to problems. Director Petr Jančárek follows the stories of four Ukrainian collaborators, whose lives were turned upside down by the war, like many millions of their compatriots.
