Synopsis
Dima lives in a usual Belarusian village. He goes fishing, stokes the fire, visits his friends and neighbours. However, there is something that makes him different. He is a thief. Observing the mysterious world, full with disturbing parallels, the character asks himself the main question. Did he live right? And was it his life?
The film is based on the first-person narrative. Dima is telling his story from a speculative detention cell in an abandoned prison building not far from his village. He shares episodes of his criminal life and judges it without reserve. This part of the film is alternated with everyday scenes of burglary, conversations between accomplices, fire and car crash.
