The Other Side

I am on my way to film the invisible. The Other Side is a journey to a world full of dream visions and hopes. On an haunted Island, at home in front of a cassette recorder and in dark séance rooms the protagonists are trying to get in touch with the otherworld. Persistently they are looking in the real world for what might lay behind the visible. Patiently they are waiting for a sign that shows, that the inexplicable might exist: a voice, a picture, a sound. Like them, I am searching. My queries, dreams and personal memories link up the different chapters of the film and question what I have seen so far. Like them I want to capture something. A film about the human struggle with the big questions of life and about the fear of mortality. Because: what, if I don't see anything?
