Synopsis
Motalko - The Chronicle of a Petrol Station is a documentary film interlaced with special 3D archive photo animation, telling the story of Tasziló Landthaller, the owner of the first private petrol station in Hungary, founded by his father in 1936 in Budatétény. The documentary describes exemplary life and struggle of a man who was able to keep his property in an era when it was almost impossible to own any private property. He fought against the communist regime and the nationalization for more than 40 years, and, finally, he got the right to keep his petrol station. He is still active and working daily at his own petrol station where the customers can buy the Motalko, the E85, just as they could 76 years ago.
