Synopsis
Renowned author and poet of Czech cinema Jan Němec presents his unique vision inspired by life and art of a surrealist painter, Toyen. The artist met her partner and lover, Jewish artist Jindřich Heisler, by accident. They had a lot of things in common. Both felt drawn to surrealism, a movement that set out to be independent from politics, regimes, nations as well as wealth and poverty. It became the animating spirit of their creative and personal lives. They managed to survive the war.
