Synopsis
Petra Kallenbach is 65 years old German pensioner living with her dog in apartment complex in Hamburg.
After paying the flat rent and amenities only 120 euros are left and she cannot afford going to rock concerts she loves the most.
She now decided that this should not be her way of spending her last years. She wants sun, the sea, and people who stay active with her as long as possible. Her financial options are limited, so she looks towards Eastern Europe, where lower costs of living promise a sunny future. At the age of 65, Petra “exports” herself to retire in Bulgaria, the country from which people usually used to immigrate to Germany.
