Synopsis
Balkan Triangle follows three different stories of men who were vital in resisting nationalism around the Yugoslavian Wars of the 1990s.
It highlights how their experiences contain lessons for present and future threats of nationalism. They’ve made huge sacrifices to uphold freedom of the press and sometimes even putting their own lives in danger.
The film is set in Serbia, Bosnia and Kosovo and the characters talk about what happened, mixed with archive footage from the 1990s, in many cases on the actual spot. The narrative unfolds through a mix of these storylines, set against historical events of the period.
