Synopsis
Documentary dedicated to Polish poet Czeslaw Milosz, who was awarded Nobel Prize for literature in 1980. The director Juozas Javaitis is trying to reveal the layers of life and work of this historical figure known for his unique mind and memory. The first two parts of the film demonstrate early days in poet’s native Šeteniai, and his high shool and university years in Vilnius. The third part of the documentary pictures complicated return to Lithuania. A number of well known intellectuals connected with Czeslaw Milosz were interviewed for the documentary. Among those are such personalities as Anthony Milosz (son of Czeslaw Milosz), Tomas Venclova, Aleksander Fiut, Andrzej Franaszek, Jerzy Illg, Agnieszka Kosińska etc.
