Synopsis

Luboš Hrůza was the most influential stage designer in Scandinavia in the 1970s and 1980s, and was one of the leading factors in changing the conceptual way of using space on stage. He brought in a new dramaturgy and very much formed the development of theater in the 70s. He became the head of stage design at the Nationaltheatret in Oslo for 20 years. While still not speaking Norwegian, he was to become known to the Norwegian public as “Ibsen's Brother” or “the revival of Ibsen” through his famous interpretations of this author's plays.
The film is a journey undertaken by his daughter who wants to follow the path of her father's life and his artistic development. In order to understand the impact Lubos had on the theatre scene wehave to understand the principles of stage design and get an authentic feeling of the time.
