Margareta Hruza is a film director. She received a B.A. and M.A. in directing fiction film at FAMU. She studied under film director Jiři Svoboda. Her debut, Night Talks (Negativ, Arte and YLE) was the opening film of Jihlava international festival in 2004. Her personal film Home was the opening film of Parnü filmfestival in 2009. She was coauthor of Children of the State (CTV, 2017). She has worked as dramaturge for documentary film Children of Televåg - Prisoners of the Third Reich (NRK, 2017). She writes film reviews for Modern Times Review and the Norwegian monthly newspaper, Ny Tid. She lives both in Oslo and Prague.
