Synopsis
The documentary film entitled Honeymoon was shot in Tokyo, Japan. It explores behind the scenes of a truly crazy 24-hour sex driven pay-tv channel called Paradise TV. Paradise TV is unlike many others similar TV-stations completely unique in terms of producing, because they make all of their shows by themselves, which reveals true Japanese handcraft material all the way long or as it could be put: welcome to the world of absurd.
The first film entitled Honeymoon explores the making of one of these shows, more precisely the making of an interactive sex show Honeymoon. We follow the ups and downs of a teenager named Ono, who dreams of becoming an adult video director and is directing the show Honeymoon for the first time in his life. The main character beside him is a teenage actress Makoto, a wannabe adult video star, who is appearing in this show for the first time in her life. On top of that, the story is taking place on Christmas Eve.
But Honeymoon is only the first part of a trilogy that deals with modern Japanese society, through the prism sex, Japanese massive sexploitation and pushing the boundaries of reality live TV type of shows (if any of them left).
Honeymoon will be followed by an even crazier and more complex feature length documentary follow-up entitled Paradise TV: Japan. The follow up deals with the whole station, their teenage employees, and a behind the scene making of a series of provocative shows among them (Naked forecast, Girl Hunt, Bankrupt Girl, Anal Show, Mobile Sex, Loosing Virginity and Rape). The material is very provocative and yet very human and funny in the same time.
The trilogy will be concluded with a third film called Hamedori. This one deals with modern age Japanese porno samurais. Hamedori are guys that produce, record, edit and of course act in their visual sex diaries or as they call it romantic adult adventures. Many of them are married have a family of their own and yet produce this kind of material with a silent (dis)approval of their closest. Their experience is intercut with a experience of a variety of selected and extremely revealing (in terms of personally experience) adult video actresses (mixed famous and anonymous).
