Synopsis
The popular term Men of the Sixties is just a pseudonym for an era which has many names - the time of liberalization, the time of the thaw, and the time of hopes. Hopes crumbled in August 1968 when the Soviet tanks occupied Prague. Heroes of that time now have novels, poems and philosophic work written about them in diametrically opposed ways - with admiration and condemnation, with clemency and with disdain. This documentary provides a sentimental look at generation, that wasn’t lost. Actress Alla Demidova, poet Evgeny Yevtushenko, jazz musician Alexey Kozlov, theatre designer Boris Messerer and writer Vladimir Voinovich talk about that era.
