The Optimist

Mateusz is eight years old and he’s just started a sailing course for young beginners. He takes to the sea in his one-person, Optimist dinghy, hauling sail himself and taking the tiller himself. And he fights. He fights the untamed waves of the Baltic and, first and foremost, he fights with his own fear. Learning to sail is a tough, character-building venture. Can Mateusz succeed in conquering his weaknesses? Face up to the first test of his life? And pass it, all flags flying?
