Synopsis
Free Burma Rangers came to the attention of movie fans with the Rambo sequel in 2008. What is the real life of people in this organization? The war between ethnic groups and pro-regime Burmese army has been taking place in the ethnic regions for over 60 years. This is the longest armed conflict in the world. The story of everyone living in this region includes expulsions from home, burned villages, hiding in the jungle, captivity, rape and death of loved ones. This is where in 1994 a group of 250 volunteers was formed, and risk their own lives in order to help the local civilians. They provide medical assistance, deliver food, monitor and document civil rights violations and create a communication system which gives the local people a warning before attacks of the Burmese army.
