Synopsis
The old family farmhouse Lehtola stands alone on the borderline between the Russia and Finland. A child in upper reaches in Finland leaves bottle post to be carried by the stream to the other side of the border. His father has told him about Lehtola and when turning older the child feels that those stories of the house are part of his personal memories. Yet everything is his own imagination he feels those memories exists and belong to him.
Lehtola is 1 st person documentary film about directors own memories and attempts to clarify
them. Together with interviews of old inhabitants and diary notes of the author the film rises
questions about one´s own identity and memories that places can carry.
