Synopsis
Angela moves from Colombia to Estonia. At 62 she decided to start a new life on the other side of the world, closer to her son, Carlos. He has been living in Estonia for 13 years ignoring the wound that drove his family apart, but with Angela moving to Estonia, the wound re-opens.
While Angela adjusts to Estonia and deals with the migration process, Carlos is making a film about roots; Angela becomes a part of it. Together they imagine an Estonian ancestor to justify being in Estonia. They play games so they can exist together.
They don’t talk about the wound: Andres’ murder. Angela’s first son and Carlos’ brother. It is a shared silence. But the wound demands attention and the games crumble.
This is a film about a mother and a son trying to rebuild their relationship through imagination.
