Synopsis
There is a single rule in Honeyland: “Take half of the honey, but leave half to the bees”.
Hatidze, the last female bee hunter in Europe, has never broken this rule. She and her blind, paralyzed mother are the only 2 inhabitants in a village with no roads and electricity.
A family of nomadic beekeepers inhabits this territory, but they don’t respect this primordial rule of bee hunting, so the natural balance is ruined and chaos ensues.
Hatidze’ success to convince the newcomers to abide to the rule will mean life for all of them. Her failure will doom “Honeyland” to become a wasteland with no people, and no bees.
