Synopsis
A series of historical documentaries introduces thirteen significant battles that took place in the Czech territory or influenced the Czech history. The selected battles cover war conflicts between the 14th and 20th century: The Battle of Lipany 1434, Battle of Kolin 1757, Battle of White Mountain 1620, Battle of Jankov 1635, Battle of Znojmo 1809, Battle of Hradec Kralove 1866, Battle of Piava River 1917 – 1918, Battle over Cieszyn Silesia 1919, Fights over Sluknov Hook 1938, Carpathian – Dukla Operation 1944, Battle of the Smrk Mountain 1944, Battle of Orechov 1945, The Rescue of French Soldiers from Karin Base 1993. The focus of the narration is a battle reconstruction based on dynamic visuals, modern graphics and personality of the presenter who walks the viewer through the whole battle. The presenter is an active participant of the fight. He presents and tries historical weapons and tactics. The pilot was successfully presented in the Czech film competition during the AFO Olomouc Festival.
