Synopsis

The observational documentary introduces several young people who have left the children's home, trying to stand on their own feet. The film captures their encounters with their parents, crisis situations with their partners and friends as well as their visits to the children's homes where they seek advice of their former wardens. Lacking experience with family life as well as basic financial skills, they live in complicated partner relationships. They often seek support in gangs and communities which can lead them to the world of drugs, gambling and sects.
The film shows their dramatic lives as well as the problematic system of care. Leaving the children's homes, they are unprepared for many situations. The theme of responsibility for one's own life is a challenge to those who grew up in an institution as well as to those who grew up in a family. However, not everyone is as optimistic as Irena D. who says: "I know that if something goes wrong the world won't fall apart, I will do better next time..."
