Casaria

Interestingly, the film does not simply develop its narrative around Casaria, but it also creates a contrast with what could be considered the exact opposite of it. Casaria initially appears as an alienating place, but then it emerges as a space for individual awareness and social solidarity. Contrarily, the scenes that follow represent situations where large groups of people gather together to engage in all sorts of exciting activities, from which an unsettling sense of estrangement gradually surfaces. Although everyone seems to be enjoying himself, one progressively realises that in fact everyone is trapped in a condi-tion that does not leave any space for autonomy.
