Synopsis
This documentary captures the unexpected, vibrant and diverse life of New York City. It is a not a film but a “notefilm”. Filming with a hidden camera the author wanders the streets and parks of the city and documents – in the form of sketches in a notebook – the everyday and festive life of this incredible city and its citizens. This is not a usual image of NYC with its well-known hallmarks that we all recognize from popular culture. The author experiences the city together with its inhabitants, follows them when they work and in their leisure time, during heavy snowfalls and sunny days. This notefilm creates the raw but incredibly real picture of New York City.
