Synopsis
Gingerbread Land is a documentary film on four Serbian students who are studing Swedish at the University of Belgrade. We gain an insight into their lives during our visit to the land devastated by war and political and economic sanctions. Gingerbread Land was made between 2002 and 2005, at a time when Serbia was going through a period of democratization. The film was made by a Swidish director ELizabeta Zemljic whose roots reach to the former Yugoslavia.
