Synopsis
Article 7 - Our Right! shows that it is posible to track down stories of nearly forgotten battles in archives. Documentary by Thomas Korschil and Eva Simmler comprises, for the most part, archive material from the Autrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF. The material documents the decade long struggle of the Slovens in Carinthia to implement Article 7 of the Austrian State Treaty, which provides the equality of ethnic minorities. The film concentrates mainly on the conflict dealing with the installation of bilingual signs, which has run throughout nearly the entire history of the 2nd Republic.
