My Dreams Rage

Jodgor Obid is one of the most famous poets in Uzbekistan. After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, Islam Karimov established a brutal and ruthless dictatorship. He offered Obid to write in his favour in exchange for a high post in the ministry, a private jet and other amenities. When he refused, he was tortured 13 times and later sent to a labor camp in Siberia... “My Dreams Rage" tells an extraordinary story about integrity, sacrifice and humanity. A story about the price of freedom.
