Synopsis
Filmmaker Monika Elšíková started making this documentary film about Czech poet Ivan Martin Jirous while Jirous was still alive. The last piece of footage capturing the poet was shot at a private event celebrating Václav Havel's 75th birthday at DOX in Prague. After Jirous's death, the director made interviews with his family and friends, including his wife Juliána Jirousová, children František, Marta and Daniel, Karel Schwarzenberg, members of The Plastic People of the Universe, priest Ladislav Heryán and a former dissident Miroslav Skalický. The film also includes Jirous's readings from his poetry collection Swan Songs.
