Synopsis
A visual diary from when I had to leave Baghdad, using the medium of film and photography to process my feelings, while looking for my missing father and homeland, far removed by fear and wars. Through the camera from the position of the outsider, recording my experiences over 30 years. Searching, escaping the propaganda machinery, the news on wars, disrupted phone conversations in a swirl with noises of planes and trains as backdrop to the characters’ painful journey they wash into one, with the last one burying a rock, the father, the past, weighing us down. Only once the rock, the past is buried, can we move towards hope and light.
