Marina Films s.r.o. was founded in 2017 by Nina Numankadić and Marek Hovorka. Nina Numankadić graduated from the Department of Production at FAMU and is the producer of Viera Čákanyová's audiovisual work FREM, which premiered at the Berlinale 2020. Nina Numankadić has been the head of the VoD portal Doc Alliance Films for 15 years. Marek Hovorka graduated from the Department of Documentary Filmmaking at FAMU and is the founder and the head of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
