Sunfilms

Sunfilm Ltd., the distribution company of independent feature films such as “Run Lola Run”, “The Straight Story”, “Antonia´s Line” etc., was founded in 1998 by Zuzana Drazilova. Zuzana established in 2002 a production company SUNFILMS s.r.o. (Ltd.) with the goal to produce the documentaries and series on social, human rights and political themes. Zuzana participated in 2003-2007 in: Ex Oriente, Eurodoc, Eurodoc Master Class and ESoDoc workshops.

Lost Neighbours - Teen Cameras Search for Jews - documentary educational project shot by teenagers (received: Consultant´s Pitch Choice at the IDFA Co-production Forum 2003; awards “Golden Kingfisher“ for the Best Czech documentary, “Prize of Town Ceske Budejovice” at Ekofilm 2006);
Teens & Jews - educational audiovisual project about nowadays anti-Semitism, 2006;
Daughters of the Enemy - testimonies of 37 daughters of 1950s´ political prisoners in former Czechoslovakia (received “Golden Stars 2008”, the European Commission Award);
Children of Stalinism - series 14 x 26 min. about the children of 1950s´ political prisoners (2009 - 2011, co-production with Czech TV and FAMU, directors are students of FAMU, Prague Film Academy; 4 parts about the Daughters of political prisoners received: Platinum and 3 Golden Remi Awards at Worldfest 2010 in Houston, 2 prizes at the New York IIFF 2010: Award for the Best Historical Documentary and Audience Award for the Best International Production).
