Ventes-CBA/WIP-Sales

Documentary filmmaking in Belgium has been powered for almost 30 years by WIP (Wallonie Image Production, http://www.wip.be) and CBA (Centre de l’Audiovisuel à Bruxelles, http://www.cbadoc.be), allied in a common vision: the documented point of view of an author. Two associations dedicated to promoting creativity while conveying accessibility to television audience, securing co-production, promotion and distribution. In 1998, Thierry Detaille initiated a shared unit and catalog of distribution, Ventes-CBA/WIP-Sales, regularly and actively participating in major international documentary events, co-production pitchings and television markets. With a clear line of documented point-of-view films, but also of audience accessibility, the focus is on the content, providing stories with a human angle on society, history, geopolitics, arts & culture, with a priority given to creative and feature-length docs.
